Strategies of Translation Chinese medical Terminology into Thai

Abstract
This article objectives to study the translation Medical terminology between Chinese to Thai, only in the case of a Non-literal translation strategy and it's a word that doesn't appear in the dictionary of Mr. Thienchai Iamworameth. The Researcher Translate medical terminology in the symptoms category of the disease, systemic disease, anatomy and human physiology, and drug. The Researcher use the principle of translation including translations and explanations from medical books and dictionaries, separating the techniques used in the transmission into different types then collect only the strategies for non-literal translation the meaning in an analytical. Problems in translation and Solution, the research showed that medical terminology with a non-literal translation strategy in various categories are the following: the symptom of the disease has 8 words, systemic disease has 34 words, anatomy and human physiology have 19 words and drug has 34 words total 95 words. An analysis the process of translating these words, the researcher found that there were three problems: 1) The structure of medical terminology in the original language. 2) Don’t understand medical terminology. 3) Selection of words in the translation. The researcher proposed solutions: 1) The lexical structure has to be considered in terms of the relationship of lexical structures in in various forms. 2) Don’t understand medical terminology, Once the translation is complete, translator need to check with dictionaries and documents that have medical-related content. 3) Selection of words in the translation. The researcher study try to understand the structure of medical terminology and try to understand the meaning of morphemes or words that make up the medical terminology to choose the correct and appropriate meaning in the medical profession.
