บทความนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อทบทวนเอกสารและงานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง กรอบมโนทัศน์และเครื่องมือประเมินทางจิตวิทยาความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจของผู้พิการ โดยใช้วิธีการทบทวนวรรณกรรมอย่างเป็นระบบจากฐานข้อมูลของห้องสมุดจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย (http://library.car. chula.ac.th) ฐานข้อมูลอ้างอิงของสำนักวิทยทรัพย์ จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย(http://eds.a.ebscohost.com) เอกสารฉบับเต็มในรูปแบบอิเลกทรอนิกส์ จากโครงการเครือข่ายห้องสมุดในประเทศไทยสำนักงานคณะกรรมการการอุดมศึกษา (http://tdc.thailis.or.th) และฐานข้อมูลจากโปรแกรมค้นหา (https://scholar.google.co.th) รวมทั้งแหล่งข้อมูลของหน่วยงานหรือสถาบันที่เกี่ยวข้อง โดยกำหนดคำสำคัญในการสืบค้น งานวิจัยที่เกี่ยวข้อง ได้แก่ “ผู้พิการ” “แบบวัด” “มาตรวัด” “ความงอกงามภายหลัง” “Disability” “Person” “Posttraumatic Growth” และ “Posttraumatic Growth Inventory” เป็นต้น โดยมีเอกสารที่เกี่ยวข้องและตรงตามเกณฑ์ 187 เรื่อง มีประเด็นสำคัญคือความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจเป็นกระบวนการพยายามปรับตัวเปลี่ยนแปลงทางบวกเมื่อบุคคลประสบกับเหตุการณ์ที่ก่อให้เกิดความสะเทือนใจหรือการบาดเจ็บอย่างรุนแรง สำหรับเครื่องมือประเมินทางจิตวิทยา ได้แก่ มาตรวัดความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจ มาตรวัดความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจฉบับสั้น มาตรวัดความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจสำหรับเด็ก ฉบับปรับปรุง มาตรวัดเปลี่ยนแปลงสุขภาวะทางจิตภายหลังหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจ มาตรวัดความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจ ฉบับปรับปรุง มาตรวัดความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจทางร่างกาย และมาตรวัดความงอกงามภายหลังเผชิญเหตุการณ์สะเทือนใจทางพฤติกรรม
