Community-Based Participatory Research: As a tool and key of successful for community health system co-creation on Kohyao Island

Abstract
Background and objectives : Community Based Participatory Research -CBPR is derived from participatory action research, CBPR has been found to produce good results in addressing community health problems. But in Thailand, there is not much research on CBPR that is generated by the primary care system. therefore want to take a lesson learned of conducting CBPR research for community health system was co-creating and established that the researcher has participated in the research at Koh Yao District
Design : A case study research was used as a community-based participatory action research project that the researcher participated in from 2007-2023
material and method Data were collected from semi-structured interviews. Focus group, direct observation Analyze data by content analysis The logical models were validated and success factors were described using realist evaluation. Findings: The study found that the structural elements of all three CBPR cases were corresponded with the 2018 revised Wallerstein logical model. Additional important elements found The model was then adapted according to its findings to be useful for further primary care applications. It was found that the success factors of CBPR were: is 1) is a project that identifies social factors that determine health 2) The use of knowledge and resources in the community. 3) The community is truly involved in the level of control by the people (Citizen control)
