Responsibilities of Authors/Co-authors
-
The author(s) must provide a cover letter stating that the submitted article is their original work and has not been previously submitted or published elsewhere. Also, if the work has been presented at an academic conference, this must be clearly stated at the end of the article (e.g., where and when it was presented).
-
All listed authors must have significantly contributed to the manuscript and must be fully aware of the content. Supervisors or patient owners not directly involved in the work must not be included as authors.
-
Authors must certify in the cover letter that, upon acceptance, the article will be published exclusively in the Journal of Primary Care and Family Medicine.
-
Authors bear full responsibility for any inaccuracies or errors in the article content.
-
For original research articles, authors must submit proof of ethical approval from a Human Research Ethics Committee (Institutional Review Board: IRB).
-
If the research received funding, the funding source must be clearly declared on the first page of the manuscript.
-
For case reports, a patient consent form must be submitted as part of the supporting documents.
-
The manuscript must be complete and final. Incomplete or incorrect manuscripts will be returned for revision before peer review.
-
Submit the manuscript, including images, graphs, tables, etc., in .docx format. Use Microsoft Word for Windows version 1997–2003. Include a cover letter certifying the responsibility of all authors as mentioned above.
