A STRUCTURAL EQUATION MODEL OF MANAGERIAL CAPABILITY AND DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION–DRIVEN ORGANIZATIONS AFFECTING BUSINESS SUSTAINABILITY OF SMALL ENTREPRENEURS IN ANG THONG AND LOPBURI PROVINCES
Main Article Content
Abstract
The objective of this study is to develop a model for enhancing business sustainability among small enterprises in Ang Thong and Lopburi provinces through the utilisation of digital technologies to strengthen competitive capabilities. Specifically, the study aims to: (1) examine managerial factors influencing business sustainability, (2) analyse the role of digital technologies in improving competitive performance, and (3) propose practical approaches that are suitable for the context of small enterprises in Thailand. Data were collected from 205 small entrepreneurs and analysed using descriptive statistics and structural equation modelling (SEM).
Empirical research findings indicate that the analysis of the measurement model for the organizational sustainability construct shows that the indicator reflecting the ability to compete effectively in the current market demonstrates a high standardized factor loading (β = 0.837, R² = 0.701). Meanwhile, the indicator related to the use of technology to enhance opportunities for sustainable growth shows a moderate factor loading but remains statistically significant, explaining 51.4% of the variance.
The synthesis of the findings suggests that the sustainability of small entrepreneurs emerges from the integration of internal organisational capabilities and the strategic utilisation of digital technologies to enhance decision-making and value creation. The study therefore proposes a conceptual framework that explains the interrelationships between entrepreneurial capability, digital technology, and business sustainability, which can be applied to policy initiatives, support programmes, and capacity-building mechanisms for small enterprises within Thailand’s local economic context.
