02 THE SUSTAINABILITY OF FAMILY HEALTH : AN PRECDE-PROCEED MODEL APPLICATION

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to make the practical use of Green and Kreuter’s
PRECDE-PROCEED Model: Educational Analysis (4th Step) for family health sustainability. The
key factors are a) knowledge, b) beliefs, c) values, d) good attitudes towards one self’s
health care, and e) caring about one’s families’ understanding of taking health care. The
contributory factors is having unrestricted access to the four health services. The additional
factor is having social support for proper health care. In any case, the author would like to
point to the significance of family health care because the strong foundation of sustainable
health care is family. The family health care will promote better physical health, mental health,
soul health, and social health and result in living happily in society. The family that lays
a strong foundation will bring about the nation’s citizens’ good health.
