Abstract

The purpose of this research to analyze the financial stability factors of Saving Cooperatives
the area of Northern Part of Thailand. CAMEL Analysis concept was used and extract
financial stability factors by using factor analysis. Population was financial report of Saving
Cooperatives 16 province, 170 cooperatives, the area of Northern Part of Thailand. Purposive
sampling was used to sample the 158 cases from populations.
From the research result: the average financial ratios can be summarized financial
stability factors 5 factors comprise of capital adequacy, asset quality, management competency,
earning ability and liquidity. Also found that those factors could explain 81.9 percent
of the total variance. The results of financial ratios analysis of Saving Cooperative the area
of Northern part of Thailand; found that the average was better than the Saving Cooperative
countrywide such as capital adequacy, asset quality and liquidity and the average financial
ratios of earning ability and management competency less than the Saving Cooperative countrywide,
especially, savings per member and profit per member
