07 A Study Warehouse Process of Interior & Summit (Thailand) Co.,Ltd.

Abstract

A study of Warehouse Management: Interior & Summit Thailand Co.,Ltd; the objective was to study the problems of current warehouse operation and analyzed the appropriated model to improve situation. Data collection was performed by questionnaire from 32 general staffs and by interview from eight warehouse staffs. Descriptive Statistics was used for analyzing the result by using frequency, percentage, average and standard deviation.
By analyzing the result, to improve the warehouse operation, the recommended procedures are to inform the staffs about all working activities in advance, classify all genres of goods for saving warehouse space and choosing suitable storage area, adjust the most appropriate position of working which will improve the competency of warehouse activities.
By using ABC Analysis and clearly specifying storage area, they can reduce unnecessary product placement, time consuming and warehouse expense. Although it may not be able to clarify the reduction of expense in exact amount, it will certainly gain a better management system which can reduce over 50 percent of time consuming and working distance in each warehouse activities.
