A Study of the Performance Efficiency of Police Officers in the Crime Prevention and Suppression Division at Bangkok Noi Metropolitan Police Station

This research aimed to: 1) study the opinions of crime suppression police officers at Bangkok Noi Metropolitan Police Station regarding factors affecting the efficiency of duty performance, including personnel factors, organizational factors, management factors, and characteristics of the responsible area; 2) compare the efficiency of duty performance classified by personal factors; and 3) propose guidelines for improving and developing duty performance efficiency. This study employed a quantitative research approach using a census survey method. The population consisted of 100 crime suppression police officers under the Bangkok Noi Metropolitan Police Station. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, as well as inferential statistics, namely t-test and F-test. The findings revealed that the police officers’ overall opinions regarding factors affecting duty performance efficiency were at a high level. The comparison of duty performance efficiency classified by personal factors showed no statistically significant differences at the .05 level. Furthermore, the guidelines for improving duty performance efficiency should focus on continuously enhancing officers’ competencies and skills; supporting modern resources and equipment; improving management systems to ensure clarity and reduce redundancy; and applying technology and area management strategies to enhance the efficiency and sustainability of crime prevention and suppression operations.
