Guideline for approach to the Open-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Abstract

This research aimed : 1) study the process of creating the pen-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, 2) to evaluate Guideline for approach to the Open-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, and 3) to propose guidelines in order to apply “The Guideline for approach to the Open-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province”. The research was based on mix methods. The targeted group of the research includes 50 parents in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province and 9 people with special expertise and performing duties related to the agencies that the researcher wanted to study in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. Tools used in the research included 1) questionnaire, and 2) an in-depth interview form Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The process of organizing the Open-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province, implements 5 activities, which are Activity 1: Introducing yourself through pictures, Activity 2: Lifeline, Activity 3: Choosing a side, Activity 4: how often do you do this with your child? And activity number 5: Practice listening attentively. 2. Evaluation of the Open-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province indicated that (1) Participants who had trained in the course become more open-minded to communicate about sex and gender related issues within their families, with the statistic of.05 level of significance (2) Participants in this course have a higher test score than before participating in the training at .05 level of significant 3.The Guideline for applying the Open-minded Conversation for a Safe Sex Course Among Children in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province is useful. It allows participants in the training to gain knowledge and be able to put it into practice regarding of communication related to sex and gender in the family.
