A COMPARATIVE STUDY OF THE RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OF LGBTQ PEOPLE IN THAILAND AND CANADA

Abstract

The Comparative Study of the Rights and Freedoms of LGBT People in Thailand and Canada is a qualitative study to compare the rights and freedoms of LGBT people living in Thailand and Canada. According to the research results, there are many social factors that affect their rights and freedoms, such as the different values of the two countries. Educational, economic, and freedom factors that indicate the existence of their rights and freedoms. In terms of occupation. Gender diverse people in both countries have markedly different career paths. To extent, in Thailand, gender diverse people pursue careers related to beauty. entertainment, and performance by using of talents and creativity, etc. In Canada, it is popular to pursue careers that require specialized skills such as administration, finance, health, and education, etc. Marriage registration between people of the same sex in Thailand has not been possible due to concerns about legal loopholes and impersonation of rights. In contrast, Canada allows same-sex couples to legally register their marriage and have the same rights after marriage as opposite-sex couples.
