EDUCATIONAL ADMINISTRATION STRATEGIES ACCORDING TO THE PRINCIPLES OF GOOD GOVERNANCE OF SMALL SCHOOLS UNDER BANGKOK METROPOLIS

Abstract
This research article aimed to propose the educational administration strategies based on the principles of good governance of small schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan. It was a mixed-method research between quantitative and qualitative research. It used a questionnaire with a sample group of 346 school administrators, teachers, and personnel of small schools, interviewing 5 key informants, focusing on 9 experts, testing with 26 stakeholders, and evaluating the strategies of school administrators with 224 people. The research instruments were questionnaires, interview forms, a trial manual, and a strategy evaluation form. Quantitative data were analyzed using basic statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation, and qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis.
The research results found that the school administration strategies based on the good governance principles of small schools under the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration consisted of 1) Vision, 2) Mission, 3) Objectives, and 4) Strategies. Strategy 1: Developing and increasing the efficiency of education management with a quality system (principle of justice). Strategy 2: Moral schools (principle of morality). Strategy 3: Developing the potential of teachers and personnel to be of quality according to professional standards (principle of transparency). Strategy 4: Developing educational cooperation networks (principle of participation). Strategy 5: Raising the level of knowledge to the quality of students with responsibility (principle of responsibility). Strategy 6: Increasing the efficiency of the entire system’s operations with value (principle of value). 5) Driving the strategy into practice, and 6) Conditions for success. The results of the strategy experiment found that the results of comparing data before and after the strategy experiment had a t-value of 20.908, which was different from before and after the experiment. The mean value after the experiment was higher than the mean value before the experiment with statistical significance at the .05 level. The strategic evaluation results found that the usefulness, feasibility, appropriateness, and correctness were at the highest level.
