THE MANAGEMENT EFFICIENCY OF PEOPLE'S TRAINING UNIT IN KHLONG KHOI SUBDISTRICT, PHOTHARAM DISTRICT, RATCHABURI PROVINCE

Abstract

This research aims to 1) study the management efficiency of the subdistrict public training unit, 2) compare the level of operations towards the management efficiency of the subdistrict public training unit classified by personal factors, and 3) study the problems, obstacles, and suggestions for the management of the subdistrict public training unit. This research was a mixed-methods study using a quantitative research by applying a questionnaire with a sample of 370 people. Data were analyzed using research statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and hypothesis testing using t-test, F-test, and one-way analysis of variance. Qualitative research was conducted by interviewing 9 key informants. Data were analyzed using content analysis. The research results found that 1) The overall management efficiency of the subdistrict public training unit in Khlong Khoi Sub-district, Photharam District, Ratchaburi Province was at a moderate level. When considering each aspect, opinions with a high level, namely, the organization of public training activities, and opinions with a moderate level were two aspects, namely, the operation of activities to help the public, financial management, materials, and equipment, respectively. 2) The results of the comparison of the management efficiency of the subdistrict public training unit in Khlong Khoi Sub-district classified by personal factors showed that gender, age, and education affected people’s opinions towards the management efficiency, overall, there was a statistically significant difference at the 0.05 level, so the research hypothesis was accepted. In terms of occupation and income, there was no difference in the public’s opinion on the management efficiency. 3) Problems, obstacles, and suggestions for the management of the subdistrict public training unit (1) Problems, obstacles: The Sangha lacked personnel development training, lacked budget planning to support community welfare, and lacked opportunities for the government and the public to participate in the work of the sub-district public training unit. (2) Suggestions: The Sangha should support personnel development training and give importance to personnel as valuable resources. The work in the subdistrict public training unit should be developed. Supporting and development of work groups in the community should be sustainably provided. The efficiency of coordination with relevant agencies should be increased to reduce the job gap for people in the community.
