PUBLIC PARTICIPATION AND TRANSFORMATIVE LEADERSHIP AFFECTING THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT EFFECTIVENESS IN SUNG NOEN DISTRICT, NAKHON RATCHASIMA PROVINCE

Abstract

The research purposes were 1) to study the effectiveness level of the community development in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; 2) to analyze the public participation and transformative leadership affecting the community development effectiveness in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province; and 3) to propose the guidelines for developing the community development effectiveness in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. This was the quantitative and qualitative research. The Population was the people aged 18 years and over, named in the household registration in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The quantitative sample group was the 400 people, the research instrument was the questionnaire; the key informants of qualitative sample group were the 20 people, the research instrument was the in - depth interview form. The data analysis statistics were the frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, multiple regression analysis, and correlation analysis. The research findings were: 1) the effectiveness of the community development in Sung Noen District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province found the overall was at high level; the descending mean were the natural resources aspect, followed by the technology aspect, the social aspect, the economic aspect, and the mental aspect, respectively; 2) the public participation and transformative leadership participation in decision - making participation in operations participation in receiving benefits being a role model and building morale and encouragement Affecting the effectiveness of community development in Sung Noen District. Nakhon Ratchasima Province at statistical significance level .05; and 3) should be study the behaviors, ways of living, and social and cultural factors of the community, building the community network to exchange knowledge and experiences in order to find problems, obstacles, solutions, and apply new knowledge as the components of effective community development.
