THE DEVELOPMENT OF STRATEGY OF STUDENTS SUPPORTING SYSTEM TO IMPROVE A QUALITY OF LEARNERS OF NAKHON SI THAMMARAT INDUSTRIAL AND COMMUNITY COLLEGE THROUGH COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were to: 1) investigate the present condition and the desirable condition 2) to develop the students supporting system 3) study the operating result of the student supporting system in aspect of quality of learners according to the standard of vocational education and 4) to assess the satisfaction towards the operating result of students supporting system to improve a quality of learners Industrial and Community College through the community participation. was the mixed methods research and the samples were committees of a student supporting system, teachers, and community representatives, 113 participants in total. The data was collected by a structured interview and questionnaire and analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The need analysis was also conducted. Then, the strategy was conducted by the SWOT analysis and the result was used to build and investigate the strategy by the experts group discussion. The result revealed that 1) the present condition of the student’s supporting system was at a moderate level and the desirable condition of the student’s supporting system was overall at a high level. 2) the strategy of students supporting system consisted of 5 grand strategies and 13 subordinate strategies. The first grand strategy, searching and acknowledgement, was composed of 2 subordinate strategies. The second grand strategy, collaborative planning, was composed of 3 subordinate strategies. The third grand strategy, work drive and strong network, was composed of 3 subordinate strategies. The fourth grand strategy, effective assessment, was composed of 3 subordinate strategies. The fifth grand strategy, accepting benefits and extension of mutual success, was composed of 2 subordinate strategies. 3) the successes of students supporting system were students’ learning achievement which was in the highest level, students’ good behavior and manner, and students’ good health and 4) the satisfaction towards the student’s supporting system was in the highest level.
