THE DEVELOPMENT OF TEACHERS BY PROJECT BASED LEARNING MANAGEMENT IN KOH PHANGAN MUNICIPAL SCHOOL SURAT THANI PROVINCE

Abstract

The objectives of this research article were: 1) to study the state of project-based learning management; 2) to develop the teachers in project-based learning management; and 3) to evaluate the development of teachers in project-based learning management at Koh Phangan Municipality School, Surat Thani. The study was an action research study comprising four steps: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The sample consisted of 14 teachers.Data were collected by a questionnaire on project- based learning management, a pre- and post- workshop test, an evaluation form of project-based learning management plans, an evaluation form of process skills of teachers in project-based learning management, and a satisfaction questionnaire of teachers in the development of teachers in project-based learning management. Quantitative data were analyzed by percentage, mean, and standard deviation; moreover, qualitative data were analyzed by descriptive analysis and were categorized and presented in expository writing. The research findings were as follows. 1) The state of project-based learning management showed that the sample did not completely understand the project-based learning management and understanding of the project work. School administrators emphasized different learning skills and required the development of the sample and its application in all subject areas. 2) The guidelines for the development of the sample in project-based learning management included workshops and internal supervisions. 3) The evaluation of the development of the sample in project-based learning management was as follows. 1) The knowledge and understanding about project-based learning management of the sample was improved as the post- test score was higher than the pre- test score and the ability in writing learning management plans was in a high level. 2) The process skills in project-based learning management of the sample were in a high level. 3) The satisfaction of the sample in project-based learning management was in the highest level.
