THE DEVELOPMENT OF COOPERATIVE LEARNING ACTIVITIES USING ONLINE TEAM GAME TOURNAMENT TECHNIQUE (TGT) FOR IMPROVING LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT AND TEAMWORK SKILLS

Abstract

This Research article aimed to 1) study the efficiency of develop cooperative learning activities using online team game tournament technique for Improving learning achievement and teamwork skills 2) compare the students’ learning achievement between before and after learning through cooperative learning activities using online team game tournament technique and 3) analyze students' teamwork skills after learning through cooperative learning activities using online team game tournament technique. The research model is quasi-experimental research. The samples of research were Computer Education Program, Faculty of Education, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University. They were selected by purposive sampling method of 2 classrooms, a total of 44 students. The tools used in this research consisted of 1) learning management plan using cooperative learning activities using online team game tournament technique for Improving learning achievement and teamwork skills 2) learning achievement test 3) Instructor's teamwork skills observation form and 4) Self-assessment form of students' teamwork skills. The statistics used in the research were mean, standard deviation and percentage. The results revealed that 1) the efficiency of  cooperative learning activities using online team game tournament technique for Improving learning achievement and teamwork skills passed the criterion of 82.15/86.90 higher than the specified criteria of 80/80 2) the students’ post-test score using cooperative learning activities using online team game tournament technique was higher than pre-test score statistically significant at .05 level and 3) instructors assessed overall students' teamwork skills at the high level and the students assessed overall their teamwork skills at the high level.
