THE MPS ELECTION BEHAVIORS IN NOPPHITAM DISTRICT OF NAKHON SI THAMMARAT PROVINCE

Abstract

The research aimed to (1) study the MPs general election behaviors in Nopphitam District of Nakhon Si Thammarat province (2) to study the factors affecting the MPs general election behaviors in 2019. (3) to compare the MPs general election behaviors between the new voters and the old ones. This quantitative research used a questionnaire as a research tool. The population were the voters of the general MPs general election on 24^th March 2019 consisting of the 73 new voters and the 376 old ones. The statistics were percentage, mean, S.D., t-test, F-test (One way ANOVA), and correlation. The findings found that (1) the MPs general election behaviors were in general at an uncertain level (  = 3.42). (2) the factors affecting the MPs general election namely the political factor was at a high level (  = 3.98) and the political perception factor in general was at a moderate level (  = 2.92). (3) The different rights/voters of the MPs general election affected the MPs general election behaviors statistically significant at 0.05. When compared to the economic and societal backgrounds found that different year of birth, education and occupation factors affecting the MPs general election behaviors statistically significant at 0.05.
