STATE OF ONLINE LEARNING DURING PANDEMIC OF CORONA VIRUS 2019 (COVID-19) OF BOROMARAJONANINAKHON SITHAMMARAT, COLLEGE OF NURSING

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study state of online learning during pandemic of COVID-19 and explore the students’satisfaction of online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The mixed method was used, including 1) qualitative research; the 49 participants were director, teachers and students and were selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument was semi-structured interview, group discussion was used to collect data and analyzed by content analysis.2) quantitative research; the sample was 164 students who were randomly recruited by using the multistage sample technique. The instrument was a questionnaire and descriptive statistics were used to analyze data. The results showed that 1) Instructional design; some units have been redesigned. 2) Teaching materials and teaching-learning facilities; Teaching materials were word and power point as file, self-produced video and other materials from web sites. Google meet was used in teaching and learning. The facilities of teaching-learning for teachers were lack of readiness such as online classroom, equipment and internet network as well as teachers lacked skills to use application for online teaching and students had internet problems. 3) Classroom atmosphere and learning interactions; mostly one - way communication. 4) Measurement and evaluation; online exams were used with Google form. For students' satisfaction of online learning was high (  = 3.62, SD = 0.60) Classified as teaching design, teaching materials, teaching-learning facilities, Classroom atmosphere and learning interactions, Measurement and evaluation were high ( = 3.56, SD = 0.64, = 3.62, SD = 0.60, = 3.58, SD = 0.68, = 3.59, SD = 0.73) respectively. Teaching-learning facilities was moderate ( = 3.43, SD = 0.90). Based on empirical data and students’ satisfaction found that the facilities of teaching-learning must be developed as ready as possible to meet the need of online learning.
