DEVELOPMENT OF THE LIFE QUALITY OF THE ELDERLY PEOPLE BY THE SENIOR SCHOOL COURSE, NAPHU SUBDISTRICT, PHEN DISTRICT, UDON THANI

Abstract

          The objectives of this article were to:  1) to study the quality of life of the elderly populations who attended the senior school course in Naphu Sub - district, Phen, Udonthani 2) to study problems and obstacles in learning for improvement of the life quality of the elderly joining the senior schools course and 3) to create strategies for developing the life quality for them. It's a mix of research. It consists of approximation research and qualitative research. Quantitative research Population and a sample of 200 people by simple randomization. The tool for data collection was a questionnaire on the quality of life of the elderly. Before and after school The statistics used for data analysis were mean, standard deviation. Qualitative research is a study of documents and interviews. Data were collected from two key informants: local leaders and elderly students, 20 person. The researcher used a selective selection method. The data collection tool was a structured interview. And analyze the data by analysis Synthesize and summarize research findings. Research findings: The quality of life of the elderly before studying of the life quality development course for the elderly, overall, was at the moderate practical level ( = 3.10), while the life quality of the elderly after entering the course of the life quality development held by the Elderly apparently was at the highest level ( = 4.56). Problems and obstacles in the learning of the elderly have two aspects which are 1) individual competence. 2) for aspect of Support and assistance. Strategies for improving the life quality for the elderly in are composed of 1) the population readiness and awareness of the life quality development for the elderly 2) Promotion and development of the elderly 3) Social protection for the elderly 4) Management for integrated development of the elderly.
