DEVELOPMENT OF THE QUALITY OF CHILDREN’S LIFE IN PERMANENCY HOME CARE CASE STUDY OF FELIX FAMILY SURAT THANI FOUNDATION

Abstract

          Development of the quality of children’s life in permanency home care A case study of Felix Family Sarat Thani Foundation, Mueang District, Surat Thani Province, Objectives are 1) to study the quality of life of children in permanency home care 2) to study the development of the quality of life of children in permanency home care, by collecting data from members of the Felix Family Surat Thani community, namely board of committee, foster parents and foster child. By using interview and observation forms as a tool for data analysis. The results of the research showed that all children living in the Felix Family Surat Thani Foundation have a very good quality of life and good development of physically, mentally, socially and spiritually. The foundation makes great importance to the good health of children. Children live in the right place and have a good environment. The foundation has a plan and has the right direction to provide standard of education through the decisions of the permanency home care to all children equally and appropriately according to the potential of each child. Funding and recruitment are being conducted both domestically and internationally to support individual children through the child sponsorship system. There are many good lodges to live at without any cost. All foster parents are determined to work to their fullest potential and with the sacrifice of their lives to raise their foster children like their own children. The principle of Christian ethics in the Bible is a guideline for the development of the quality of life of children. By these making the children confident and be a role model to the others, obey parents, be generous and polite.
