The Role of Environmental Practices and Competitive Advantage Effect on Organization Performance of Industrial in Thailand

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze on the influences from the role of competitive advantage toward the organization performance. The target populations were 220 of the industrial business companies in Thailand with the certified standard on the environmental management system. The questionnaire was used as the tool for data collection, while Descriptive statistics and inferential statistic via SEM were adopted for data analysis. It was found from the results of the study that the factor of environmental practices compliance had no direct effect on the organization performance. But, it was found that the factor of environmental practices had an indirect effect toward the organization performance through the factor of competitive advantage at the statistical significance level. Besides, the factor of environmental practices also had direct influences toward the factor of competitive advantage at the statistical significance level. Moreover, the factor of competitive advantage also had direct influences toward the organization performance at the statistical significance level. Therefore, if the organization needed to add more efficiency in the organizational operation as well as be able to form up the businesses competitive advantage. These required the management to emphasize on the environmental practices and launch the policies and guidelines for the environmental practices with the rules and efficient performance appraisal to form up the competitive ability beyond rivals and for the business to continue progress.
