Abstract

The research aims 1) to study the operation of value-added of local product in term of Tin-Jok cotton skirt weaving (hand loomed embroidery Thai-Lanna style skirt), 2) to study the method of value-added on the Tin-Jok cotton skirt weaving, 3) and to apply the result of the research and preserve the Tin-Jok cotton skirt weaving.This research is mixed-methods. There are 260 persons as quantitative study group and 10 persons as qualitative study group. Questionnaires and interview are selected to be the instruments of study for data collection. The data will be analyzed by descriptive statistics and thus content interpretation. The result shows that 1) the operation of value-added of Tin-Jok cotton skirt weaving was overall excellent. 2) To add value for Tin-Jok cotton skirt weaving, the pattern of Tin-Jok cotton skirt should be more modernized, and 3) As applying of the results of the research to utilize and preserve the Tin-Jok cotton skirt weaving, the research group has designed the new products from the Tin-Jok cotton cloth to add value for its cloth such as Tin-Jok bag, Tin-Jok hobo bag, etc.
