These three aspects have been studied here using and ethographical approach.

In the past, street musicians were recognized by the name waniphok (gypsy musician), traveling from place to place to sing phleng kho thaan (beggar's song), with the audience offering them dry food, mainly rice in return. The beggars' songs had an exciting and arousing rhythm, and were enjoyable and fascinating. Nowadays, gypsy musicians are street musicians performing with various kinds of musical instruments.
