Teachers’ Performance Motivation Large Private Primary Schools in Bangkok

Abstract
The objectives of this research were 1) to study the motivation for the performance of teachers and 2) to compare teacher performance motivations in large private primary schools in Bangkok classified by gender, age, education levels, positions, and work experience. The sample consisted of 364 teachers in a large private primary school in Bangkok. The instrument used questionnaires having content validity=0.67-1.00 and reliability=0.98. The statistics used percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, One-Way ANOVA, and LSD.
The results showed that the motivation for the performance of teachers was very high. The highest average motivation factor was job success, and the second was job characteristics, responsibility, progression, and respectability. The highest average composition of supporting factors was the working environment, the second was management, relationships with colleagues, job security, and compensation. 2) Comparing teacher performance motivations found that the difference in teacher gender overall was not different. In the age, education level, job title, and work experience, there were different motivations for the operation with statistically significant at level .05.
