ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่าง “การวิจัย” และ “การประเมิน”

Abstract

    การวิจัยและการประเมินมีความสัมพันธ์ต่อสังคมศาสตร์และวิทยาศาสตร์ และมีพื้นฐานแนวคิด วิธีการทั้งที่เหมือนกันและแตกต่างกัน การมีแนวคิดที่เหมือนกันจะช่วยสนับสนุนการดำเนินงานซึ่งกันและกันต่อสิ่งที่กำลังศึกษา แต่ถ้ามีแนวคิดที่แตกต่างกันจะช่วยในการตัดสินใจเลือกวิธีการเข้าถึงข้อมูลเพื่อสรุปรายงานผลต่อเป้าหมายการดำเนินงาน แต่การวิจัยและการประเมินดูเหมือนจะมีความสัมพันธ์กัน ทั้งในด้านความหมายและวิธีการจนแทบจะแยกจากกันไม่ได้ แต่อย่างไรก็ตาม การวิจัยและการประเมินไม่สามารถใช้วิธีการเดียวเพื่อค้นหาคำตอบแทนกันได้ทั้งหมด

  The research and evaluation interrelate to social science and science as well as their conceptual foundations and methods can be either similar or different. The similarity of concepts thus mutually facilitates the pursuit of research, while, the different concepts may help making the decision in the access to data sources. This is to make a summarized performance target report. Though it seems that the interrelations of the research and evaluation in light of their meanings and methods are inseparable, the same set of methods cannot be employed in the research and evaluation in searching of solutions.
