Developing Scientific Literacy and Teamwork and Collaboration Competency of 7th Grade Students Using the Predict-Share-Observe-Explain Model with Augmented Reality Technology

Abstract
The objectives of the research were to develop scientific literacy and the teamwork and collaboration competency of 7th grade students using the predict-share-observe-explain model with augmented reality technology. The target group were 30 7th grade students in classroom No.1/6, who were studying at Wangsammowittayakarn School, Udon Thani Province, semester 1, academic year 2023. The research design was action research with three operating cycles. The research tools were: 1) the research practice instrument consisted of lesson plans using the predict-share-observe-explain model with augmented reality technology; 2) the reflection tools, including teacher's learning management recording forms, teacher and student behavior observation forms, student interview forms, ended-inspiral of the scientific literacy test, and ended-inspiral of the teamwork and collaboration competency assessment form; and 3) the assessment tools, consisting of the scientific literacy test and teamwork and collaboration competency assessments. Descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation, and percentage, were used to analyze quantitative data. Quantitative data was analyzed using content analysis. The research findings indicated that 1) the average score in scientific literacy of the students was 30.67, which was 73.02% of the full score, and 22 students, or 73.33%, passed the set criteria; and 2) 23 students, or 76.67%, scored level 7 or higher in teamwork and collaboration competency, surpassing the set criteria.
