Abstract

The objectives of the research aimed to develop the analytical thinking ability and as well as the teamwork and collaboration competencies of grade 5 students using brain-based learning with motion graphics. The study involved a group of 10 grade 5 students at Banlaonokchumwittayasan School, Khon Kaen Primary Education Service Area Office 1, on semester 1, academic year 2023. The research design was action research with three operating cycles. The research tools were the operational tools, which consisted of lesson plans using brain-based learning with motion graphics with an average suitability of 4.63, which was the highest level of suitability; 2) the reflection tools, which consisted of teacher's learning management recording forms, teacher and student behavior observation forms, student interview forms, ended-inspiral analytical thinking ability assessment forms in which the level of difficulty of cycle 1 was between 0.31-0.59 and discrimination power was between 0.41-0.73, and a reliability test was at 0.84, while cycle 2 had a level of difficulty between 0.22-0.63 and discrimination power between 0.38-0.70 with a reliability test of 0.84, and cycle 3 had a level of difficulty between 0.31-0.53, discrimination power between 0.40-0.76, and a reliability test of 0.82 and ended - inspiral of teamwork and collaboration competency assessment with an IOC between 0.67-1.00 ; and 3) assessment tools, consisting of analytical thinking ability tests with a level of difficulty between 0.22-0.72, discrimination power between 0.35-0.58 and a reliability of the test at 0.89, and teamwork and collaboration competency assessments with an IOC between 0.67-1.00. Quantitative data analysis was performed using basic statistics, including the mean, standard deviation (S.D.) and percentages. Qualitative data was analyzed through content analysis. The findings show that, 1) the students had an average of analytical thinking ability for 22.00, or 73.33 % of the total score, and there were 8 students who passed the criteria, which accounted for 80.00% of the total number of students, which was higher than the defined criteria. 2) Most of the students had an assessment of teamwork and collaboration competency at level 5. There were 8 students who passed the criteria, or 80.00% of the total number of students. which was higher than the defined criteria.
