Economic and Social Impacts From the COVID-19 Pandemic Affecting Personal Financial Planning of the People in Mueang District Buriram Province

Abstract

This research aimed to study the level of economic, social, and personal financial planning impacts, factors affecting personal financial planning, as well as study the personal financial planning models under the COVID-19 pandemic situation of the people in Mueang District, Buriram Province. This study was a mixed methods research. The data collection was divided into two phases: 1) quantitative data analysis used the questionnaires as a research tool. The samples were 400 people who live in Mueang District, Buriram Province, selected by a simple random sampling method. The statistics used for the data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression analysis; 2) qualitative data analysis  used group discussion. The sample consisted of 6 people selected by purposive sampling. The results found that: 1) the level of economic, social and personal financial planning impacts under the COVID-19 pandemic situation was at a high-level. 2) The economic and social impacts of was the factors affected the personal financial planning. And 3) the people plan their personal financial planning by savings deposits and buying life insurance.
