Educational Management Model to Enhance the Quality of Life for Children with Special Needs in Early Childhood Level

Abstract
The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the components of the quality of life of children with special needs in the early childhood level, 2) study the current and desirable conditions in educational management to improve the quality of life of children with special needs in the early childhood level, and 3) develop an educational management model to improve the quality of life of children with special needs in the early childhood level. The research process consisted of step 1 study the components by Interviewing 12 experts consisted the scholar in educational administration aspect, director of the center for special education, representative of the disabled and parent representatives, step 2 study the current and desirable conditions using a questionnaire collecting data with the 486 samples which consisted of a school administrators, Heads of Academic Administration Division and teachers, step 3 draft the model, and step 4 evaluate the model by holding a seminar with 9 experts consisted of the experts from a university professor, the specialists of special education bureau, the directors of special education center, the educator, the teacher representative and the parent representatives. The questionnaire was examined for content validity by analyzing the IOC, the language use, the suitability, and the consistency of the question items from 5 experts. The statistics used in the research were basic statistics, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation and content analysis. The research findings were as follows; 1. the components of the quality of life of children with special needs in the early childhood level consisted of 7 components: 1) physical health aspect, 2) environmental aspect, 3) educational aspect, 4) emotional and mental aspect, 5) social relationship aspect, 6) family relationship aspect, and 7) networking and the components of the educational management consisted of 6 aspects: 1) the teaching and learning process aspect, 2) the management aspect, 3) the teachers aspect, 4) the educational curriculum aspect, 5) the measurement and evaluation aspect, and 6) the atmosphere and environment aspect. 2. The current condition of the quality of life of children with special needs in the early childhood level overall was at a high level. The overview of educational management at current operating condition was at a high level whereas the desirable condition was at the highest level. 3. An educational management model for improving the quality of life of children with special needs in the early childhood level consisted of 4 parts including part 1 introduction, part 2 the educational management guidelines, part 3 the application of the model, part 4 the success condition. The educational management model to enhance the quality of life for children with special needs in early childhood level consisted of 1) the appropriateness aspect, 2) the consistency aspect, 3) the usefulness aspect, and 4) the possibility was at the highest level in all aspect.
