A Structural Equation Model of School Administrators Characteristics Affecting Happy Organization of Primary Schools in Khon Kaen : Multi-group Analysis with Gender

Abstract

     The purposes of this research were to study the level of characteristics of school administrators and the level of happy organization of primary schools in Khon Kaen Province, to study the influence of characteristics of school administrators toward the happy organization, and to test the measurement invariance of the structural equation model that the researcher had developed from the theory and empirical data between males and females administrators. This research used descriptive research methods. The sample size were determined using the ratio between the number of samples to the number of parameters 15:1. The samples were school 540 administrators and teachers who work at the office of Khon Kaen primary educational service area 1-5. The research tool was 5 rating scale questionnaire with the reliability at 0.96. The research results found that: the characteristics of school administrators both in overall and each aspect was at a high level, considered in each aspect found that  the highest average were morality and ethics and the lowest average was communication. In overall average level of happy organization of primary schools were at a high level. The highest average was generosity and the lowest average was the personnel wellness. The school administrators characteristics that affected toward the happy organization of primary schools in Khon Kaen province were the size of the overall influence and positive direct influence was at 0.96 which was at the .01 significant level. It  show that a structural equation model was consistent with the empirical data as follows: = 1.32, CFI = 1.00, TLI = 1.00, RMSEA = 0.02, and SRMR = 0.01. It evidenced a structural equation model  had no change between male and female school administrators.
