Factors Affecting the Enhancement of Community Collaboration in Community Resource Management of the Community Council

Abstract

     This research aimed to investigate the factors affecting the enhancement of community collaboration in community resource management of the community council. This research was a quantitative research. The population was 732 sub-district-level community councils in the upper northern region, which were community councils that involved in community resource management and a central area for discussion, knowledge sharing and lead to finding the ways to manage community resources together. The sample group consisted of 253 sub-district-level community councils using multi-stage sampling. The research instrument was a five-rating-scale questionnaires. The data was analyzed using mean, standard deviation, and multiple regression. The results of this research indicated that the factors affecting the enhancement of community collaboration in community resource management included community participation in resource management; community roles in community resource management; strength of network parties in community resource management; and social capital for community resource management. Because the community resource management is complicated therefore it is necessary to employ community councils as a central area to facilitate the cooperation toward the effective resource management and to be able to deal with the occurring community resource problems t in accordance with the community's needs.
