The Willingness to Pay for Fruit Farm of Tourisms of Bangkok Residents

Abstract

This research aimed to study the socioeconomic status of sample tourists and to determine characteristics of orchard tourism. In addition, the research also intended to analyze the tourists’ willingness to pay for fruit farm tour. Research samplings were derived from 300 tourists in Bangkok. Data analysis utilized the choice modelling method. The results suggested that diversity of fruit farm, GAP standard of the fruit farm, and tour guide service offered by the fruit farm were the factors significantly affected to the tourists ‘willingness to pay for additional amount about a 214.78, 205.09, and 126.96 Baht, as per visit per tourist, respectively. Therefore, fruit farmers have alternative choices on farm tourism whereas the  government should support necessary knowledge and tourism service.
