The One Tambon One Product business management approach based on The Buddhist way towards sustainable development

Abstract

      The purpose of this research was to develop the structural equation model showing the elements of business management’s direction for the One Tambon One Product (OTOP) by applying the Buddhist way towards the sustainable development. The research instruments were consisted of qualitative and quantitative research with structured interviewed questions and five rating scale questionnaires as distributed to 600 executives. The statistics using in the data analysis were mean, standard deviation and analyzing structural equation models. The results showed that the OTOP business management approach as following the Buddhist way towards the sustainable development were consisted of five factors including: marketing factor, production factor, general management factor, cooperation with the community factor and finance and accounting factor. At the conclusion of the analysis of the developed structural equation model found that it passed the evaluation criteria. (CMIN-p = .055, CMIN / DF = 1.095, GFI = .943 and RMSEA = .013) with Marketing factor having the most direct influence on Production factor.  The research’ contributions as indicating the five important factors and indicators can be applied to all business sectors, especially the principles which aimed to business success, care taking the under commanded staffs, and the Buddhist administration focusing on the coexistence for balancing the business and the way of  community life that lead to sustainable development
