Abstract

The purposes of this research were to study (1) leadership behavior of school administrators, (2) Motivation in performance of teachers in school, (3) Leadership behavior of school administrators affecting motivation in performance of teachers in Kanchanaburi under secondary educational service area office.The samples consisted of school administrators and teachers in school in Kanchanaburi under secondary educational service area office 8 with the total number of 327. Using stratified random sampling and simple random sampling techniques. The research instrument was a five-rating scale questionnaire and a reliability of .861. The statistics used in data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The research findings were as follows: (1) Leadership behavior of secondary school administrator, overall and individual aspects, was found at a high level in by ranking from the highest to the lowest as follow: exploitative autocratic leadership behavior, participative leadership behavior, benevolent autocratic leadership behavior and consultative leadership behavior, (2) Motivation in performance of teachers, overall and individual aspects, was found at a high level in by ranking from the highest to the lowest as follow: recognition, responsibility, achievement, work itself and possibility of Growth, and (3) Leadership behavior of school administrator in participation of administrator aspect affecting motivation in performance of teachers in school in Kanchanaburi under secondary educational service area office 8 at a .01 level of significance and had a multiple correlation coefficient of .809. The predictive power of the regression analysis equation in a raw score predictive equation as follows:
