Factor analysis of ethical leadership in educational administration of nursing administrators in nursing colleges under the jurisdiction of Phraboromrajchanok Institute, Ministry of Public Health

The objective of this research was to analyze the components of ethical leadership in educational administration of nursing administrators in nursing colleges under the jurisdiction of Phraboromrajchanok Institute, Ministry of Public Health. For this quantitative research, based on related concepts and theories, variables were synthesized and used in forming question items, and in exploratory factor analysis. A 1-5 rating scale questionnaire with 88 question items was used to collect data from 443 respondents working at 29 nursing colleges attached to Phraboromrajchanok Institutes recruited using purposive sampling consisting of directors, deputy directors, heads of departments, and chief of units. Exploratory factor analysis was performed with the data.
The finding revealed that there were five components of ethical leadership with respect to weights as follows: 1) cooperation of benefits; 2) building of beliefs and trustworthiness; 3) manifestation of truthfulness with openness and integrity; 4) manifestation of various and complex management problems with professional encouragement; and 5) contribution of teamwork, respectively.
