Abstract

        The purpose of this paper is to investigate the factors related to competitive development in order to construct a conceptual framework of factors affecting competitive development for Thai-Malaysia border trade entrepreneurs to support the ASEAN Economic Community. The study was conducted by using a literature review and document analysis. The results indicated that characteristics of entrepreneurs, Thailand-SMEs plans, ASEAN Economic Community blueprint and contingency management had a direct relationship with competitive development for Thai - Malaysia border trade entrepreneurs to support the ASEAN Economic Community. Besides, characteristics of entrepreneurs, Thailand-SMEs plans and ASEAN Economic Community blueprint had an indirect relationship with competitive development for Thai - Malaysia border trade entrepreneurs to support the ASEAN Economic Community through contingency management.
