People’s Needs for Community Development in Hat Yai Community Housing, Na-sathanee Road, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province

The purposes of this study were to investigate the levels of people’s needs for community development in Hat Yai community housing, Na-sathanee Road, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province and to compare people’s needs for community development in Hat Yai community housing, Na-sathanee Road, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province according to their personal factors. The research samples were 352 people selected by stratified random sampling and simple random sampling method in Hat Yai community housing, Na-sathanee Road, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The statistical package was employed to analyze the data in percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and F-test. The result showed that 1) the people’s needs for community development in Hat Yai community housing, Na-sathanee Road, Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province were at the highest level. When considered by item, it was found that the social development, the environmental development, and infrastructure development was also at the highest level while economic development was at the high level. 2) The people with different gender factors were significantly different in their needs for community development at the level of .05 while religion, age, educational, occupation, domicile, residence period were not different in the people’s needs for community development.
