Competencies of School Administrators in the 21st Century under Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization

The objectives of this research are 1) to study the competencies of school administrators in the 21st century under Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization. 2) to compare opinions of school administrators and teachers towards the competencies of school administrators in the 21st century under Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization classified by position, work experience, and school size. 3) to study guidelines for developing the competencies of school administrators in the 21st century under Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization. The sample group consists of 214 individuals, including school administrators and teachers, selected using a stratified random sampling method. The research tools employed include questionnaires and interviews.Data analysis was conducted using statistical methods such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, F-test, and content analysis, followed by descriptive narration.
The results of the research found that 1) Overall competencies of school administrators in the 21st century at a high level. 2) Results of comparing opinions. Classified by positions showed significant statistical differences at the .01 level. classified by work experience resulted in significant differences at the .05 level. Classified by school size resulted in no different. 3) Guidelines for Developing the Competencies of School Administrators in the 21st century: School administrators should develop themselves to have well-rounded knowledge. They should possess communication skills, foster motivation for teamwork, and implement modern technology along with good governance in their management practices. They should also adapt and plan their management strategies to keep pace with the changing conditions of society.
The findings from this research will provide information for administrators to use as a guideline for enhancing their own competencies, aiming to improve the efficiency of their management practices.
