THE KEYWORDS DECODING ON THE MAHASATIPATTHANASUTTA’S TOPIC

The objectives of this research were to analyze and synthesize key words from the current literature on the Fourth Mahāsatipatthāna and to expand the body of knowledge from the Fourth Mahāsatipatthāna Sutras by using key words. The research methodology studied from the research results of the synthesis of 100 Buddhist writings. The sample group consisted of 1,600 words and 77 keywords were enumerated. The study found that; Decoding of key words 1) Kāyanupassanā Satipatthāna consists of 4 key words. “Mindfulness” “Ānapānasati” “Rūpa” “Kammaṭthāna”. Considering the physical base, “consciousness” is the most important, leading the process. Depending on breath is an object of consideration of the body to know clearly by posture to make sense meditation practice. 2) The aspect of Vedanānupassanā Satipatthāna consists of 4 key words: “Āyatana”, “Vedanā”, “Dukkha- Vedanā”, and “Conditional Dhamma”. Considering the base of feeling is the most important “Āyatana”, it is the realm of feeling. Eyes affect forms, ears affect sounds, noses affect smells, tongues affect tastes, body touches, minds affect emotions. Born into contact, perception, and body. Practicing mindfulness to get out of emotions, from suffering, by means of practicing equanimity. 3) Cittanupassanā Satipatthāna comprises 4 key words: “cittabhāvanā”, “citta”, “knowing mind”, “cetasika”. Considering the mental base is “mind meditation” that is the most important. It is a mental determinant. Let the mind be firm and mentally powerful by perceiving and understanding mental symptoms, mental nature, according to Cetasika, in order to become a knowledgeable mind. 4) Dhammanupassanā Satipatthāna comprises 4 key words: “Trilakana”, “Dhamma”, “Paňyā” and “Nibhāna”. The consideration of the Dhamma foundation is the “Trilakana”, it is the most important, leading to linking Dhamma. Relying on Yonisomanasikā to contemplate the principles of the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path in order to gain wisdom. From both samatha and vipassanā meditation aim for Nibhāna.
