THE PRACTICE IN DEVELOPMENT OF A WHOLE SCHOOL APPROACH IN EXPANDING EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES SCHOOL

This article aims to achieve two main objectives: 1) To study the operational conditions in developing schools comprehensively to promote self-reliance and cognitive skills among students, expanding opportunities. 2) To present the development needs of schools at all levels, aiming to enhance self-reliance and cognitive skills among students, involving a sample group that includes school administrators, early childhood educators, primary school teachers, and lower secondary school teachers participating in the Teacher & School Quality Program (TSQP) across all regions, totaling 375 individuals. The study utilized surveys as a research tool and synthesized data from literature reviews, textbooks, and relevant research both domestically and internationally.
Research findings indicate: 1. Overall, the operational conditions in developing schools to promote self-reliance and cognitive skills among students are largely favorable. When examined in detail, the highest operational condition is in the development of teachers and educational staff, rated as very high, whereas the lowest operational condition is in the learning process management and assessment, also rated as very high. 2. The development needs of schools to enhance self-reliance and cognitive skills among students are rated as very high overall. Detailed analysis reveals that the highest development need is in the comprehensive school management, rated as very high, while the lowest development need is in establishing efficient learning networks, also rated as very high.
