Focus and Scope

The journal calls for research papers, academic articles, and book reviews. It is a journal published both in Thai and English. The scope of the journal covers social and humanities sciences issues includings; social science, sociology, anthropology, cultural studies, history, communication arts, Linguistics, languages and literature, literature studies, And education.

Peer Review Process

The editors of the journal use a "double-blinded" peer-review process where neither the authors nor the two reviewers assigned by the journal know each other's identity and name. Manuscripts are reviewed objectively in the context of the reviewer's expertise in the field.  Information, pieces of criticism, suggestions, or ideas obtained through peer review are kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.  Editors recuse themselves from the review process when they have a conflict of interest in the publication.

Submission Fee: The author is requested to pay Article Processing Charge of 3,000 Thai Baht (non-refundable) for each accepted article after the initial review by the chief editor. ​However, the journal will waive the review fee for articles submitted to the system between March 1, 2025 and February 28, 2026.

Publication Frequency

The journal is published two issues a year, the first on January - June, the second on Jujy -December. It is published in the electronic journal format ISSN 3057-1499(Online from the 21th year, issue 1, January - June onwards).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Journal History

The Faculty of Liberal Arts, Ubon Ratchathani University is a faculty that produces graduates in both undergraduate and graduate levels in the disciplines of humanities, social sciences, linguistics, and education. The faculty has always recognized the importance of developing and exchanging knowledge in the social and human sciences and other related fields; hence, the creation of the Journal of the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Ubon Ratchathani University as a platform for academic dissemination. The first issue was published in 2004. Currently, it is issued biannually in order to disseminate academic work to the wider society.
