วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาความคิดเห็นด้านสมรรถนะของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษาชั้นนำประเทศไทยในการรับมือกับข่าวปลอมบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์
วิธีการศึกษา: งานวิจัยนี้เป็นการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ ใช้แบบสอบถามเป็นเครื่องมือในการเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูล โดยรวบรวมข้อมูลจากประชากร 267 คน คือ บรรณารักษ์จากห้องสมุดสถาบันอุดมศึกษาชั้นนำประเทศไทย 14 สถาบัน ได้แก่ 1) จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย 2) มหาวิทยาลัยมหิดล 3) มหาวิทยาลัยเชียงใหม่ 4) มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ 5) มหาวิทยาลัยเกษตรศาสตร์ 6) มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ 7) มหาวิทยาลัยขอนแก่น 8) มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี 9) มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าพระนครเหนือ 10) สถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง 11) มหาวิทยาลัยนเรศวร 12) มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร 13) มหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีสุรนารี และ 14) มหาวิทยาลัยวลัยลักษณ์
ข้อค้นพบ: บรรณารักษ์มีความเห็นสอดคล้องกัน โดยให้ความสำคัญกับคุณสมบัติส่วนบุคคลและทักษะใน การรับมือกับข่าวปลอมเป็นอันดับแรกในระดับเท่ากัน และรองลงมา คือ ความรู้ในการรับมือกับข่าวปลอม
การประยุกต์ใช้จากการศึกษานี้: ผลที่ได้จากการศึกษานี้สามารถใช้เป็นแนวทางสำหรับผู้บริหารสถาบันอุดมศึกษาเพื่อใช้กำหนดกลยุทธ์ในการเพิ่มสมรรถนะของบรรณารักษ์ให้สามารถรับมือกับข่าวปลอมบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ และเป็นแนวทางสำหรับบรรณารักษ์สถาบันอุดมศึกษาในการพัฒนาสมรรถนะของตนให้รับมือกับข่าวปลอมบนสื่อสังคมออนไลน์ได้มากยิ่งขึ้น
