ความต้องการการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลในประเทศไทย

วัตถุประสงค์: เพื่อศึกษาความต้องการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพ รูปแบบในการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพ ปัญหาและอุปสรรค ในการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพของบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลในประเทศไทยตามความคิดเห็นของผู้บริหารและบรรณารักษ์
วิธีการศึกษา: ใช้วิธีการวิจัยเชิงปริมาณ เก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลโดยใช้แบบสอบถาม กลุ่มประชากร คือ ผู้บริหารที่ดูแลห้องสมุด ได้แก่ รองผู้บริหารด้านพัฒนาระบบบริการและสนับสนุนบริการสุขภาพ และ ผู้อำนวยการศูนย์แพทยศาสตรศึกษาชั้นคลินิก จำนวน 42 คน และบรรณารักษ์สังกัดห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาล จำนวน 61 คน จากโรงพยาบาล 3 กลุ่ม คือ 1) โรงพยาบาลศูนย์ที่มีศูนย์แพทยศาสตรศึกษาชั้นคลินิก 2) โรงพยาบาลศูนย์ที่ไม่มีศูนย์แพทยศาสตรศึกษาชั้นคลินิก 3) โรงพยาบาลทั่วไปที่มีศูนย์แพทยศาสตรศึกษาชั้นคลินิก รวมทั้งสิ้น 103 คน
ข้อค้นพบ: ด้านความรู้ทางวิชาชีพ ผู้บริหารต้องการอันดับแรกคือ ด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ บรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลต้องการอันดับแรกคือ ด้านงานเทคนิคห้องสมุด ด้านรูปแบบในการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพ ผู้บริหารและบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลต้องการอันดับแรกคือ การฝึกอบรมในหัวข้อต่างๆ ปัญหาและอุปสรรคในการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพผู้บริหารเห็นว่าปัญหาอันดับแรกคือ ด้านเทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ส่วนบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลเห็นว่าปัญหาอันดับแรกคือ ด้านบุคลากร
การประยุกต์ใช้จากการศึกษานี้: ผลที่ได้จากการศึกษานี้ จะเป็นแนวทางสำหรับผู้บริหารและสมาคมองค์กรวิชาชีพที่เกี่ยวข้องสำหรับเพื่อใช้ในการวางแผนพัฒนาบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลและเป็นแนวทางสำหรับบรรณารักษ์ห้องสมุดโรงพยาบาลในการพัฒนาทางวิชาชีพของตนเองให้มีความรู้ความเชี่ยวชาญด้านการให้บริการสารสนเทศทางด้านการแพทย์
