การพัฒนาแนวปฏิบัติการจัดการข้อมูลวิจัยด้านมานุษยวิทยาบนพื้นฐานของจริยธรรมการวิจัยในมนุษย์

บทคัดย่อ

              This paper presents results of the research entitled “Developing Guidelines for Anthropology Research Data Management,” which aims at examining policies and practices for information management of the anthropology institutes and related agencies in Thailand and abroad.  The findings should lead to the development of guidelines for Anthropology information management of Sirindhorn Anthropology Center (The public enterprise).  As anthropology is the science with unique data information drawn from the studies of human-beings and mainly collected from human-beings, the anthropology information management gives more emphasis on ethical consideration, such as cultural sensitivity, ownership, privacy, etc.  The study is divided into 2 phases.  First, policies of 30 anthropology institutes and related agencies are examined and the examination results reveal that their information management policies and ethical issues have been treated separately.  Second, the researchers develop anthropology data management for Sirindhron Anthropology Center using research findings from the first phase.  Based on the data life cycle, the guidelines are divided into 4 parts:  data management planning, data collection and documentation, data storage and preservation, and data sharing and reuse.  This study indicates the necessity for integrating awareness of research data management and ethical principles of anthropology studies.  In order to stimulate the development of concrete data management practices, research data management should be laid out within the policies of the government agencies which provide funding support to research activities.  In addition, infrastructure and tools for research data management should be developed, and personnel who are responsible for the anthropology research data management should be equipped with awareness and understanding in human research ethical principles.
