The Development of Basketry Products from Water Chestnuts for Tourism Promotion in Suphanburi Province

Abstract
The purposes of this research are : 1) to study is basic information about Wang Yang sub-district community Si Prachan district Suphanburi Province, 2) to develop a prototype of basketry products from water chestnuts stem promote tourism in Suphanburi Province , and 3) to study the satisfaction of basketry weavers by using basketry products from Water Chestnuts stem in promoting Suphanburi Province. The population used in the research is 5 senior elders that are basketry and 20 wickerworkers in particular. The research instruments are the interview forms, materials / equipment is using in product prototype development and questionnaires. The statistics is using for data analysis: content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation.
The research found that as follows: 1) Wang Yang Sub district, Si Prachan District Suphanburi Province were mostly flatland areas with rain and moist air suitable for were farming Including Wang Yang Sub-district, there were tourism resources that can be a tourist attraction and have been activities in the community which to make were integrated poverty. Which tourists can be come to learn activities from direct. The experience can be practiced to experience the real in the river. within addition, the community also has been know ledged management and community development through tourism activities. Which was a form of Chalom basketry for tourists for used in truffle harvesting activities as souvenirs. By coming together in a community that already was produced in the household. 2) With was to make integrated poverty which tourists can be come to learn activities from direct experience and them can be practiced to experience the real in the river. and 3) Satisfaction with the products of basketry were from the water chestnut tree and basketry products and in the aspect of tourism promotion, it was found that basketry.
