Leadership and Information Technology for Library 4.0

Abstract
The leadership which employs information technology (IT) for a library, was to provide
the future learning resources. This helped the learners to search the knowledge on demand. The
objectives of this work are to study the model of Library 4.0, to study the use of IT for Library 4.0,
and to study the leadership factors for the library. The data were collected from 30 education
leaders and directors, which is then analyzed by statistics. The research was found that the Library
4.0 model could be viewed as virtual library that used artificial intelligence to process eDocuments into knowledge. The IT usage for a library required the development of innovative
services and the preparedness of hardware, software and computer network. The director of
Library 4.0 must apply emerging technology for changing a library, declare vision and mission for
e-Service, build the digital staff, and manage the disruptive technology for this virtual library.
