Work Happiness of the Public Company Personnel

Abstract

This research aimed to 1) study the work happiness of the public company personnel,2) to
study the factor related to work happiness of the public company personnel and 3) guideline or
method to lead work happiness of the public company personnel. The sample consisted of 400
personals of the Siam Cement Group, obtained by the Probability Sampling. The statistics used for
data analysis included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and correlation. It was
found from the research that the work happiness of the public personnel as a whole was at a high
level, and relation of the factor and work happiness of the public company personnel was found to
have a positive relation in the aspect of motivation to work, working environment and social
support at statistical significant level of 0.01 (r=0.344 and 0.141 respectively), which conformed to
the hypothesis. The guideline or method to secure the work happiness of the public company
personnel included two main aspects: First, physical aspect which was characterized by wealthy
health by doing exercise and consummation of nutritious food and secondly, mental aspect which
was characterized by positive thinking, purification of mind, control of emotion to solve the
problem with peace and to adjust oneself to natural environment and work environment.
