บทคัดย่อ
บทความวิจัยนี้ มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อวิเคราะห์พลวัตและบทบาทหน้าที่ของพิพิธภัณฑ์ยุคก่อนประวัติศาสตร์ 3,000 ปี วัดป่าพระสบาย โดยใช้ระเบียบวิธีการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพ รวบรวมข้อมูลจากผู้ให้ข้อมูลหลัก (Key Informants) ด้วยการสัมภาษณ์รายบุคคลและแบบรวมหมู่ วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลแบบพรรณนาวิเคราะห์ตามแนวคิดพลวัตและบทบาทหน้าที่นิยม ผลการวิจัยพบว่า พิพิธภัณฑ์มีพลวัตเชิงกายภาพและจิตใจ พลวัตเชิงกายภาพคือการปรับปรุงพัฒนาสถานที่และการบริหารงาน และพลวัตด้านจิตใจคือการเชื่อมโยงพิพิธภัณฑ์เข้ากับความเชื่อเรื่องผีบรรพบุรุษ เกิดเป็นประเพณีประจำชุมชน ด้านบทบาทหน้าที่ พบว่า พิพิธภัณฑ์มีบทบาทสำคัญ คือ 1) กำหนดกฎเกณฑ์ในการปฏิบัติต่อโบราณวัตถุของชุมชน 2) ช่วยขัดเกลาจิตใจของคนในชุมชน 3) ช่วยอบรมด้านความเชื่อและพิธีกรรม และ 4) เป็นแหล่งเรียนรู้ประวัติศาสตร์ท้องถิ่น
