Abstract

The purposes of this research were 1) to study efficacy of learning activity management using 5 STEPs approach on “Subject-Verb Agreement” as a required effective criterion at 75/75, 2) to examine the effectiveness index of learning activity management using 5 STEPs approach on “Subject-Verb Agreement”, 3) to compare learning achievement before and after studying using 5 STEPs approach on “Subject-Verb Agreement”, and 4) to study the satisfaction of students towards learning activity management using 5 STEPs approach. The samples were 30 1st year students enrolled in the subject of English Structure and Usage 2 in the second semester of academic year 2017. They were selected by Cluster Random Sampling. The instruments used were 1) 3 learning activity management plans, 2) 30-item before and after achievement tests, and 3) a 13-item satisfaction questionnaire. The statistics employed in data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test (Dependent Samples).


             The results were found that 1) the efficacy of learning activity management using 5 STEPs approach on “Subject-Verb Agreement” was at 74.53/74.23 which followed the required criterion. 2) The effectiveness index of learning activity management using 5 STEPs approach on “Subject-Verb Agreement” was at 0.5700 which revealed that the developed learning activity management plans enhanced the students’ learning at the percentage of 57.00 3) The learning achievement after studying using 5 STEPs approach was higher than before studying at statistical significance. 4) The satisfaction of the students towards learning activity management using 5 STEPs approach was at the highest level with an average and standard deviation at 4.63 and .48 respectively
